Gabe Kirchheimer is a professional photographer who
has documented Rainbow Gatherings for many years. He has
some photos on his web site at gabekphoto.com, but he also graciously donated
many more pictures for my site, which I have online here.

- The 1985 North American Annual was in Mark Twain National Forest in
Missouri.
- 1986 - Pennsylvania
- The 1986 North American Annual was in Long Hollow, near Cobham in
Allegheny National Forest.
- 1987 - North Carolina
- The 1987 North American Annual was in Near Tapoc, in Nantahala
National Forest.
- 1988 - Texas

in Pike National Forest. near the town of Deckers.

on the east side of the Arkansas Valley between Buena Vista and
Salida.

- Regional at Interior Townsite.

- The 1997 Florida regional was held admidst major roadblocks, and
harrasement by the police and Forest Service.
- 1997 Colorado Summer Regional
- The 1997 Colorado summer regional was held at the base of the Buffalo
Peaks in Pike National Forest near the town of Fairplay.
- 1997, Missouri
- This regional was held in the Ozark National Scenic Riverways,
with the location being known as Bay Creek, near Eminence, Missouri.
- 1997 Shawnee, Illinois
- The 1997 Shawnee fall regional was held near Mt. Blessing near the
town of Carbondale.
- 1998 Colorado Summer Regional
- The 1998 Colorado summer regional was held near Little Brown Lake
& Terrace Reservoir in Rio Grande National Forest near the town of
Monte Vista.

Hellas on Pairo Mountain, north of Thessalomiki.

- The 1998 European Annual Rainbow Gathering was in Russia. It was
held near the town of "Mshinskaya" on the way to Luga from the "Warsaw"
train station in Petersburg.
- 1999 - Hungary
- The 1999 European Annual Rainbow Gathering was in Hungary.

- The 1995 Israeli gathering was held near Beit Shemesh.

- There was also a gathering in Russia in the Ural Mountains.

- There was also a gathering in Australia in the BooNoo BooNoo.
Submission Details
Many of these pictures are mine, but I'd love to get some from every
Annual gathering, and a bunch of the regionals too.
Tech Details
Briefly, I scan all my photos in as 256 colors, 150DPI. This seems to
be the best resolution for web sites. I'll then resize the photo to
make a postage stamp sized version for the web page, and then clicking
on that smaller image will bring up the full sized one. I can convert
most any grahpic format, but for a web page, I use .jpg or .gif. Both
of these are compressed formats, and I use .jpg for the final image
cause they load much faster over a slow modem connection.
How To Submit
There are several ways you can submit photos. Ideally you can ftp them
to ftp.welcomehome.org and leave them in the incoming
directory. Then email me and
tell me what the file name is. I'd also appreciate a few lines of
description for each photo roughly telling folks what it is, or what
you were feeling at the time.
Other ways to submit are to email me a photo as a MIME attachement, or
as a final way, snail mail me a photo to:
